About the event

Hello teachers, I am in need of your feedback. My Dance Equations journey is about to take a new path. I would like to dissolve my 300 pages of course material and videos into ready-to-use exercises and unit projects, something much easier to absorb. I know teachers have fewer hours to spend on P.D. and need help with lesson ideas, plans, and rubrics. I believe dance is an amazing tool in the class that can save you time and money, but I need to put it into a package that is most useful to you. Therefore I have created this virtual classroom for you to explore on your own, in your own time. This is all FREE, all I ask from you is your feedback. I need to know from working teachers how this information would be most useful. What do you need in terms of lesson plans and rubrics in order for Dance Equations to become a useful classroom tool?

Each lesson in this virtual classroom establishes the fundamental elements of the Dance Equations program. After this workshop, you will have clear ideas of how math and dance connect. You will walk away with new lesson ideas. Participants will be given the opportunity to join the Dance Equations Delux online course at a discount. There is no dance experience necessary but please come prepared to move. You will need comfortable clothing, a pen and paper for note-taking, and space around your computer to dance (desktop or laptop works best). This class is suitable for school teachers, professionals who teach teachers, and homeschool parents and groups. It is not grade-focused, Miranda demonstrates the spectrum of math dance education and focuses on dance as an effective tool to teach mathematics. Once you enter the virtual classroom complete the videos starting on the left of the screen and proceed clockwise. There are a few extra videos on the right side for you to explore afterward. I will be available via WhatsApp (via my site), and email. I will message you after May 1st with a brief questionnaire so that I can learn how to better meet your needs and support alternative learning in your classroom.
