DUST... Dust... explores the intersection of movement and philosophy, mathematics, and science. Through movement, sound, video illustrations and animations, and text. Dust... examines some of the most influential theories and ideas that have led us to our present being. First, by proposing a series of numbers as experienced through movement, the work explores the equations of Newtonian mechanics, the recurrence of the Fibonacci sequence, and the golden ratio, before proposing a consideration of the Computational Theory of the Mind, the dominant paradigm in psychology and neuroscience. After exploring whether our minds are similar to the inner-workings of a computer, and the implications this comparison holds for the concepts of free will and rational choice, Dust... breaks away from the mathematical theorems to reveal the joy of just being.
